Tolerance is the new love!

Booking of an Uber at odd hours of the night ( not having to use an iota of chivalry), snapchatting a filtered selfie every now and then  or liking a couple of pictures on Instagram - are these the unapologetic gestures  of showing modern love ? Are the above valid ? Do the above prove that he likes you?

Buddha once said a very relatable thing “ “When you like a flower, you just pluck it. But when you love a flower, you water it daily.” Are we in the generation of getting plucked off daily or watered daily? This is something to think about deeply while we live in our bubble of limited free time and expectations! Everything is wanted instantly, right there and then and now! Patience is the key to everything or is acceptance the key; no it’s actually tolerance! Tolerance is THE key - it is THE new love!

I know we live in a storm of millennial thought processes , but what about people who believe in finding true love? It’s so often happens that  when a man and a woman meet ; maybe through friends or a dating app and they really hit it off , but it fizzles out after they hook up!? This is a time of options. Oh so many many options!  Everyone has them and are sticking by them only until one cannot tolerate the other , they move on to the next one without valuing an actual connection that could be nurtured. It’s like you’re constantly updating your version of Itunes- you just start getting used to the interface and bam , there’s a new version that comes along.

Give it time! These are golden words. Why can’t you give it time?  Isn't it love that we live for? I mean there’s food too , of course , but love is what makes the world go round! Call me old school but I believe in love.  I believe in finding a partner who can commit, who truly wants to be a friend, a support;  and oh  there are so many other qualities  one looks for in a partner but the main ingredient here is love.  It is difficult in this day and age to pin it down as it’s quite confusing. One phone call from him lightens up your day, but you can’t call him a boyfriend. One comment on your profile pic , but you can’t say “thank you baby” , even though you’re itching to. These are the first world problems of relationships , even though the physical connection  is fantastic. Does physicality define it all? Attraction dies out after sometime- in today’s time give it 2 months tops and then the reality of tolerance is what  lingers on.

The moment we all start learning to truly understand each other’s value , only then can it pave a way for love and most importantly respect.

So give it a thought, drop the new age "thought" process and give yourself a chance to rise in love , not fall in it!
